Safeguarding close up

You can access our Wales and third sector specific resources in our safeguarding community section. There are also many excellent resources available through the internet providing information and guidance on safeguarding.

Please note that we are not responsible for the content of external websites.

Please be aware that websites originating from England do not usually reference the Welsh legislation and context, nor offer documents in Welsh.

Organisations specific to Wales

The NSPCC and Safe Network offer support for the voluntary and community sector, but is focused on England. NSPCC materials generally are very useful and informative buy not Wales-specific, so do check the legislation and context.

The Child Protection in Sport website is excellent for sport specific guidance but again is based in England. See Sports Wales for the Welsh context

Safeguarding Ambassador’s Network

We are proposing an informal network - the Safeguarding Ambassador’s Network (SAN) which will connect representatives from CVCs and third sector organisations in Wales that have an interest in safeguarding.

The network aims to promote and develop good practice in safeguarding within the sector.

Our vision is that safeguarding ambassadors will work to share and develop good practice, excellent training materials and delivery methods, based around the All Wales Safeguarding Pack, but for use in the wider context beyond the social care workforce.
